interesting questions...
gakked from bookishbiker. It's something I've needed to think about. There's a lot of things that I know how to do, and a lot of things I should know how to do. But the interesting thing about it is: what do I think is important in both categories. This list isn't work or professional related, that would be too long in both categories.
What I know how to do:
- throw a formal dinner party, complete with all the extra silver and plates - from choosing the menu, cooking it all, choosing the wine and liquor parings to seating and serving.
- check the pressure of my car tires
- talk to almost anyone about almost anything, mostly intelligently
- do landscape design
- accurately shoot a rifle (though I haven't done it in a very long time)
- make a good espresso
What I don't know how to do:
- change my car tires
- work on my bicycle, other than basics
- my nails (though I do paint them myself)
- electrical work, like change an outlet or a switch
- play the guitar
