We demand: respect, equal wages and orgasms
And we should demand it here, too. Some days, when I see what the religious right is trying to do to this country, I'm scared to be a woman.
What's the last thing you usually do or think about before you fall asleep?
Think about? Most often? Sex.
Do? Most often? Not sex.
What TV show(s) will you be watching this season? Why?

Well, the new Aaron Sorkin looks good, and I adore Bradley Whitford. CSI: Miami (I adore Emily Procter too), and possibly the original CSI. And Nip/Tuck.
But honestly, if I miss any of them, s'ok. I don't go out of my way to watch TV, but I enjoy it when I watch it. And, like Cecily, I've grown up on it, have read waaaayyy above my level since I was young, and was a child slave to the boob box. But over the past 5 years, my TV has not been mine, and this has weaned me off scheduling my life around shows, because I could never guarantee that I would be able to watch it (there might be a race of some sort - car, motorcycle, school bus, tractor, lawn mower - if it had a motor and could go around in circles or on a track, he watches it). So TV became less important.
Is there a friend who you owe a phonecall or email? What's stopping you?
Owe is a strong word. Email and phone works both ways and if someone wants to catch up with me, they know where I am. That said, there are 2 people that it's tough to keep in touch with, both of whom I've known forever.
I just caught up with both of them. Mel, I talked to for about 10 mintues yesterday (it was an odd conversation), and Jolie I talked to for about 45 minutes today. I clued them both in on what is going on in my life and at least got caught up in Jolie's. Mel's husband hates me (and I really can't stand him), so she and I don't talk much. Hence the odd conversation.
Are you a morning person or a night owl?
Right now, I'm in between. During my formative years, I was a night owl. Then, when I started teaching at a school an hour away from my apartment and had to be there at 6:15 or so, I became a morning person. And was that way for years (I stopped teaching 10 years ago). Now, my body clock is changing again and I'm becoming more of a night person. Yay for nights.
and my arm hurts. It was in for 7 years (2 longer than it was viable), but because of the situation, I decided to have it removed so, eventually, if need be, I can go on some other sort of birth control. Right now, there's no need for me to do so, but I wanted the option.
I have to say that I was pleased with the way the Norplant worked. For 5 years, I didn't have to worry about taking a pill, getting a shot, putting on a patch. It was just there. It's a shame that they took this off the market.
But I'll have a nice scar on my upper left arm. And a really really nice bruise for the next couple weeks.
