Sorry no lyric yesterday.  Was travelling most of the day.  Somehow, this one seems fitting on babyshower day...

Well, I'm sitting in my new/old (old/new?) office and don't have my speakers set up for my iPod.  So I'm left with what's on my little laptop for music.  Luckily, it has lots of the stuff I've been listening to for the last year or so.  Course, now memories are flooding back.  There's also a smell (not bad, just an odor) in here that's bringing back lots of odd memories.  Strange as I haven't worked in this office since early 2005.  Ah well.  Maybe it's just the day.

• Ike Reilly Assassination - We Belong to the Staggering Evening
• Kings of Leon - Because of the Times
• Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - BRMC
• The Stooges - The Weirdness (this was a surprise - it's a very good album)
• Tegan and Sara - The Con
• She Wants Revenge - This is Forever (good but not as good as their first)

I'm sure I'm missing something.  But I'm only 1/3 through my first cuppa and don't quite have it all together yet.

I love Kings of Leon.  I hope they come back to Tampa.

I'm sitting on my mother's porch on a kinda grey Sunday.  Everyone is out - mom went to pick up my sister who is also in Phila this weekend (Kel spent the night at a friend's) & David went to church.  I've got coffee, a book and my computer.  And the TV is playing digital music because they don't have a radio.  It's a thoroughly enjoyable morning.  And this song comes on.  I love this song.  Course, I still didn't get a chance to see them because they played Phila Thursday night and I didn't come in until Friday morning.  Ah well, maybe they'll get to Tampa eventually...

This year as is Jan - now?  That's easy:

More polished than the others, and I was a little concerned because of all the hype, but it is a truly great album.

As for the best old album that I've bought this year (again, Jan - now):

Haunting and wonderful.  Too bad they're not around anymore.
