I've posted before that if I were to have a theme song, it would be Amy Ray's Driver Education. However, long before that song came out, there was another that I've recently been reminded of. This really has been me through my entire life - especially with a chosen few. I'm also a sucker for a well written love ballad.

Same one as last year and the year before. We can heal, but we should never forget all those that were unselfish and heroes in the face of extreme circumstances. But this time, instead of quoting The West Wing, I'm just going to say that it was extremism that got us here. And there is nothing about Sarah Palin - especially her religious views - that is not extremely scary for a nation that claims to be tolerant and open to all. We should be the land of the free - and there is nothing about her that wants us to be that.

Some of you may know that I'm in love with the show Swingtown. Last night's episode was the last for the season, and I'm really hoping that they pick it up again. The characters are complex and the storylines interesting. And I have to say that I am truly crushing on Susan, or more specifically, Molly Parker. Brian is particularly fond of Trina, played by Lana Parrilla.
So what does this have to do with the lyric of the day? Well, they also have a grest 70s soundtrack. And last night's episode featured one of my favourite Elton John songs. Which is why it's today's LoD.
