Ignore the menu - it changes weekly. This week it's baked eggs with collard greens and ham and sweet potato pancakes with chestnuts and creme anglaise. Last week, it was seafood or veggie quiche...

The use of "sex" when "gender" is meant.
I also really hate when people get "it's" "its" wrong.
Other than that, I can't think of any. I used to care a lot. But English is a living language and as phrases and words evolve, enter and leave the language, I can roll with it.
Sounds funny for a former English teacher to say, doesn't it?l

What is or was your favorite subject in school?

When I was in Elementary and Middle schools, I was in what was then called the Academically Talented program (AT for short). Basically, we were pulled out of the regular classes one day a week and given interesting things that weren't covered by the normal curriculum. Things like Creative Writing (true creative non-fiction and fiction), advanced art techniques (remember, this was lower grades), Architecture, etc. It was very much a Montessori approach and quite progressive for a public school of the time. I loved those programs since it was what I had been used to, having gone to a Montessori preschool and kindergarten.
When I entered high school, I stopped "working up to my potential" (if I had a nickel for each time that was written on a report card or other place in my "permanent record" I'd be a rich woman), but did decently in the high level (but not honors) classes I took, especially English and Art (most specifically ceramics).

Well, as I have my own personal chef who is not on TV, she's the one I'd most like to have prepare a meal for me. But if I have to choose a celebrity chef, there is absolutely no questions about this. Cat Cora...preferably with a few clothes on as possible. And she can't forget the ouzo...

EDIT: I forgot one other person I'd want, ahem, cooking for me...

Culture QotW: Favorite Food

What is your favorite style of food? Bonus: Share a recipe that compliments that style.

I like good food. Food worth eating. Things have to be worth the calories. And I don't eat; most of the time, I dine. Food should be savored with friends (new and old) and good times. We spend too much time in the US eating on the run and forgetting to savor what we put in our mouths. Eating should be a sensual and sensuous experience no matter how rushed we are. Take the extra 5 minutes to enjoy it. And if you don't enjoy it, don't eat it.
Also, and this is a very US thing, we eat until the plate is empty. That's wrong. Eat until you're full. Take leftovers home - it's ok. One of the reasons we're obese is that we're told that we need to clean our plates. This is wrong. Take your time over food & you'll eat less.

Now, this doesn't mean I'm a food snob. I'll try anything once - from a food cart to a 5 star restaurant and anything in between. I've eaten some odd stuff (though not as odd as that guy on the Travel Channel who does the odd foods or Anthony Bourdain). Right now, I'm partial to Thai and Mediterranean cuisines. Love fresh fish and seafood, good meats simply prepared, veggies, fruit, cheeses. Basic, simply prepared with a good sauce is a little bit of paradise. Good tapas, good curry, good bread and oil or butter.

I've always loved food. Almost went to culinary school but didn't. Now, I'm dating a chef. Of course, for the last year or so I've been "dating" exclusively in the food industry (what is it with servers? I've fucked a good many of them before graduating to the chef. Thanks, B, I still get a kick out of that line).

Anyway, I've digressed from the original question. I don't have a favorite style of food. It depends on my mood, what's available. But whatever it is must be good. Like with everything else, life is too short to eat bad food.
